The Antinoupolis Foundation, Inc. was created in January of 2011 and incorporated in the State of Illinois in the United States of America.  The Foundation's mission is to recover and preserve the ancient City of Antinous through archaeology, conservation and education.  We are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization as defined by the IRS in the United States.

The current board members of the Antinoupolis Foundation are as follows:

Dr. Rosario Pintaudi, Director, Archaeological Mission to Antinoupolis; Full Professor of Papyrology, the University of Messina, Sicily, Italy; and Curator, Papyrus Collection, Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana, University of Florence, Italy

Jay Heidel, President of the Antinoupolis Foundation; Architect for the Archaeological Mission to Antinoupolis; and Architect for the University of Chicago's Archaeological Mission to Luxor, Egypt.

Dr. W. Raymond Johnson, Secretary of the Antinoupolis Foundation, Field Director of the University of Chicago's Epigraphic Survey in Luxor Egypt, and Research Associate (Associate Professor), the Oriental Institute, Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, the University of Chicago

David W. Maher, Senior Vice President, Law & Policy, the Public Interest Registry
